OrbitalMed has seated an independent medical review Board, the Commercial Spaceflight Medical Board (CSMB), to oversee the certification of space flight participants (SFPs).  This Board, acting outside the auspices of the Company, will examine all medical data collected during the certification process and render final certification, or disqualification, for flight.  OrbitalMed has comprised this Board with the proper medical specialties to properly assess the full spectrum of health-related data for each SFP.  In addition to adjudicating the certification, the Board may ask for additional information from the Company to support their decision.  The Company will prepare additional information, as requested, and resubmit the certification petition to the Board.
